Get Moving | Ahhmazingly Healthy
When I was a kid in the 1970s, all we did was play outside, running non-stop with our friends, neighbors, siblings, cousins and anyone else who got a good physical workout from sunup to sundown without even knowing we were staying healthy. Once we got moving all we knew was that we were having fun, having fun, and more fun!
Today has certainly changed, and despite the importance of technology, it is unfortunate that today's children as well as adults live in a gadget-friendly world who will choose to be on their phones without ceasing to be on the couch, not moving around, not playing and running around outside, not exercising any… Physically active, they are just sedentary and glued to their electronic devices and choose to stay indoors. Therefore, it is not surprising that obesity today is the new epidemic for overweight children, teens and adults.
It's important to really get back to basics and start choosing to get moving and motivated again to exercise and spend less time indoors as well as spending less time on any electronic devices.
Here are ways to create a change for Weight loss And get healthy!
- Put losing weight/getting healthy first.
First and foremost, create Weight loss Make health a priority every day and be aware of the types of food choices you eat. Start writing down what you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner and see how much we all tend to overeat. Choose to drink plenty of water, eat salads, fresh fruits, and choose healthy protein snacks to improve your metabolism for the better Weight loss And energy. Eat small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism revving and burning. Always keep in mind that you want to change to get healthy and lose weight.
- Practice and enjoy!
The majority of us don't like to put in the effort to exercise but we all want a beach body, right?! … The bottom line is that it comes with the work. The good news is that once you start exercising every day to make it a good routine, you will be happy to know that your body starts wanting to exercise more! Yes! This is correct! Try it and you will like it!
The secret to enjoying exercise is to find what works for you. If you don't really enjoy the gym, look into other forms of exercise. You need a mix of cardio and resistance training – but it doesn't have to be on machines… It could be high-intensity cardio, walking at the mall, hiking, cycling, swimming, dancing, Or yoga or Zumba, to name a few. But to find what makes you happy, you have to get off the couch and bed and start moving, shaking, rocking, and shifting into a new mindset for living healthy and happy. Research what happens to different muscle groups — and your heart — when you exercise, and choose activities you'll enjoy.
- Define triggers.
What are your triggers? passionate? boredom? Fatigue? Family arguments?
Once you identify these triggers, you can start working on strategies to overcome them. This can be as simple as challenging yourself every time you want food. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself… “Am I hungry – yes or no? If I'm not hungry, why do I want to eat? Am I really just thirsty? If I'm running to the fridge because I'm upset, is there something else I can do?” Is there a long-term solution to fix this forever? Thus, if you are not yet ready to deal with the root cause, be prepared that nothing will change, so find your triggers and replace them with something better and healthier and get excited to see your positive transformation that you can be proud of.
